I have a 16K Husky that for 7 yrs was hitched up almost weekly
*Remove handle latch pin and raise latch.
*With jaw closed back into hitch----5vr king pin plate lower than hitch head plate (doesn't really matter how low just as long as the 5rv king pin plate rides up and onto hitch head plate)
*As you back in king pin will push jaw Open and it will then snap closed around king pin when it is fully inserted
*Check that jaw is closed around king pin
*Close handle latch and pin closed (handle/jaw can NOT open with latch & pin in place)
For king pin to come loose from hitch is IF it was High Hitched
OR
Handle latch & pin were not installed locking handle and pin box flipped handle on a wide turn
