I DO understand how a B&W works, to a point. That point being if you back in with the jaws open ready to hitch, and back all the way into the pin AT THAT MOMENT if you do a pull test will the jaws stay closed???
NO ONE has touched the hitch, back in, then immediately pull forward, will the jaws open or stay shut.

I always hitch pin low.
Do a immediate pull test, exit cab, lock handle, and do a visual check for pin in the correct location.
