fifth wheel hitch

I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 with 6.5 foot bed, we want to pull a fifth wheel trailer, I need guidance on the type of fifth wheel to purchase or should I purchase a king pin extender, my truck has the factory under bed puck system
  • I have a 6.5' bed -- and the my Andersen Ultimate 2 works excellent!
No slider needed...yes...my rig has cut corners (sculpted/concave).

It would help if you posted a pic of the pin box you currently have on the FW. Can't disagree with the B&W Slider, though.

  • While I don't always agree with cummins...I can tell you I UPGRADED from the standard reese 16k 5th to a B&W over the winter. this past weekend was my first tow and all I can say is this was one of the best things I have done! hitching/unhitching was easier and zero noise came from the hitch unlike the pervious unit.

If you can afford it Just get the B&W and don't waste your time with others!

Depends on the 5th wheel you puchase and the front corners of it. Without a slider there is always a chance that you will dent the cab.
