I would not be concerned as long as the GVWR of your 5th wheel does not exceed the hitches max rating.

Looking at the spec sheet for the Solitude 375 RES-R on Grand Designs website, the GVWR is 16500 lbs which is well under the 20k Curt rating. I'd say 3500 lbs is a safe cushion.

Your want your 5th wheel hitch rated at least 1000# higher then 5th wheel GVWR

So YES the Curt 20K is more then enough hitch.

Any other 20K would also work.......some folks have issues with hitching/unhitching using CURT ???

You REALLY need to look at some of the comments on the CURT. NOT always easy to unhitch, Made In China, Causing chucking since the heads pivot point is several inches below the kingpin connection.

You want the best NON air ride hitch with zero compromises and is 100 percent US Made the B&W RVK3600 is the correct hitch for you. Simple solid latching with NO color code or flimsy locking device. Full 1" machined jaws.

Compare side by side and listen to OTHERS who have owned or used both.

You have the best towing truck, why not get the best hitch.

I am running the Curt 20K with our 5er with a 16.5K GVWR and it works just fine. Have not had any problems hitching or unhitching.

I've got the 16k Curt. Easy to hookup and unhook. Nice quiet towing. And alot less $.

I bought the Trailer Saver air ride hitch. It amazes me how much the hitch moves up and down on ruff roads take the shock out of hook up.

I got the Curt goose neck under bed option (dealer installed) on my new Silverado The truck did not have the factory puck system. I can tow goose or drop in my Curt 5th hitch and latch it up the goose neck latch. Best of both worlds (at least I think so) and when not towing I have a clean bed with no rails. Love it. I have had a couple of Reese previously and one B&W. GM liked Curt so that was good enuf for me.
