Fifth wheel jack points

Depending on the work to be done jack just aft or fwd of the spring hanger. If you want to get one wheel off the ground, say for bearing work, jack under the spring stack next to the axle.

Avoid using wood between bottle jack & frame. The weight will most likely split the wood. Not safe at all. Distribute the weight with a thick steel plate between jack & wood.
