Yep, that's why all the over-the-road Class 8 tractor/trailers use gooseneck hitches - oh, wait. They don't.
Generally, gooseneck and pintle hitches are favored by agricultural users as they do have benefits in articulation in off-road environments. However, gooseneck hitches are still a ball hitch and subject to regulation as such.
