Fireplace Heater
Does anyone run their fireplace/Heater all night long? It is a lot quieter than the furnace.

I replaced the cold air return grill for the furnace with dual window fans. I added a mechanical thermostat and placed it near the outside wall of the cavity so warm air gets 'pushed' through the system. As a side benefit a small amount of air flows through the duct work. That lets me heat 100% electrically.
I've used this at -37 c (-34 f).
