First Toy Hauler looking for informed input

On the east coast, the Work & Play is probably the only brand that can handle such a load unless you buy a full blown race trailer. We had a 30WRS Work & Play for a year and a half for our ATV races and it was a great camper built much tougher than most others. But I suspect the west coast has more choices.

One thing about Work & Play is their height off the ground. I think they're lower than others so watch out with a 40' hauler. If you stay on-road, no big deal. But our races were in some rough areas and we had to be very careful not to drag our tail. I had rollers welded underneath the rear just in case.

How wide is the F150?

With drag radials or slicks it fits between the wheel wells of my 84"wide Dove tail I assume no more than 80 " in the rear 70 upfront.

Will always be on road. Sometimes dirt road but nothing I would consider "off Road". I have a Rhino and 76 Bronco for that. My racing is at a drag strip so lots of paved flat surface to park in.

Not that it has any bearing on this, but could we please see some pictures of the F150?

Sort of the daily driver with current set up.



New Race motor should be done next Month. 430 CI man o war block. If we push boost of over 30PSI 1200 HP.

The two issues I see with conventional toy haulers is weight capacity and door height. Check out the car haulers with living quarters: Carson, Millennium, Feather Lite, InTech, ...

You can order these with added height and heavier weight ratings. I have seen many 40' goosenecks pass through a lot of owners due to the length. You may want think about where you want take this combination and whether you will fit.

Agreed on weight, I owned a 37 race trailer years ago. Fine for taking to the track but a bit Spartan for retirement travel. The work and play in the 42 ft range seemed to be a bit nicer.
Just to be clear not thinking of a standard toy hauler but the Work and play should do the trick. I need a 16 to 17 foot garage Min for the Lightning. Hauling the Bronco length is no issue and when just the Rhino really no problem.
Thanks for the Carson, Millennium, Feather Lite, InTech,suggestion. I'll do a little research on them. A site called racingjunk.com has a number of race trailers with living qtrs. listed.
I hear ya on the 40ft and over trailers passing through a number of owners. My 37 footer was great when going across country to race and spending a week or more but was a PITA to load and haul for a night of racing.
Now that I'm going to be retired I see mostly week or more trips to the mountain's to play with either the Rhino or Bronco or cross country trips.

Another option, a little redneck, but you just need a gooseneck and you can select the length or do a short 5th wheel on top with axles removed if you want more room than the TC.
