First Toy Hauler looking for informed input
Well here is the situation. Getting ready to retire. Currently own a 99 F550 with a 7.3 and 4.88 rearend. 11 foot TC and 20 foot open trailer. This set up has served me well for a number of years....

Ours is 44.5'. Spaces are more limited for this length, so we have to book reservations further in advance. I'm not used to having to plan our trips so far in the future. Boondock trips to the desert are fine though.
I think ALL of our sites have been back-in so far. I think we might have had one pull-through. It's not that big of a deal to back in though. You can do it.
Thanks for the input. Not afraid to back it in but on a trip home from Wachington in July I found backing in my 20 ft flatbed behind my cab over the power cord didn't reach the box. Happened in Wash once and Oregon once.
I'm with you planning is not one of my strong points. However once retired I may have time to do a bit of planning :{)
