First Trip in the Books

Had our camper for about a month now and got to use it for the first time Memorial Day weekend. Was a good first trip. Everything worked good and the upgrade from a TT has sure got it's benefits but does have a few draw backs.

Camped at a local venue which while large in size really wasnt designed for a rig this big. My in-laws and I take the two spots that we can really only fit on.

The size of this camper makes camping with two kids under two much easier and the residential fridge with ice maker is awesome compared to the rv fridges. Here are a couple pics of our campsites. Sites are nothing fancy but they're cheap and it was a relaxing weekend. We weren't the neatest but the rain made us keep everything together under the awnings.

Did notice an issue with one of the vents that looked like it was replaced, guessing at the manufacturer. They did a hack job and actually missed a very small cut in the pvc roof with Dicor. I've patched it now but am working with the dealer to document the issue.

And the in-laws, unfortunately they drive Ford's (just kidding).

  • Very nice one thing I noticed is the same thing mine was like when purchased. awnings are straight out really catch the wind. I would tilt them down alittle also better for water run off.
  • Wow 39 feet is a good size electrical in the air that is different

Happy you had a good time. Your rig isn't that large and that campsite isn't that small IMO.

I guess to me it's quite large, it's 39'8" and my truck is a CCLB SRW so it's not small by any means. The sites we were on were large however it becomes very wooded just after our campsite and most electric is about 12' off the ground (I wish I took a picture to show some of the rats nests they had in the trees), there is no underground. This campground was made many years ago and hasn't been updated since, 50amp service isn't even an option. With the height restrictions alone we can't get anywhere else let alone the roads that my truck would push branches on the sides. They're just trying to stay afloat and have gotten a decent popup and tenter following lately with how secluded the campground is.
