We have the pathway x2, and I would say you need a damn good clear view of the southern sky to get multiple satellites. In my backyard when I set it up, I could maybe get one but the trees were pretty high. When I tried at a friends, worked great, had a clear view of the sky from every direction. Every camping trip so far...3 different campgrounds, no dice too many trees.
That said, with the x2 you can get western arc sats as well as the eastern ones..so all the campsites I was unable to get the eastern arc sats, I switched over to the western ones and had no issues. Other than local channels...not sure if its related or not.
