Also have the Tailgater and use it. I have a couple mounting options.
I bought a 1 1/2" plastic electrical flange and a square piece of 1/8" aluminum sheet. I attached the flange to the aluminum plate. I drilled and tapped the four nubs on the base of the Tailgater and attached the plate/flange to the base of the Tailgater.
1) Used the mounting bracket and curved "pipe" from the eave of the house mounting assembly, bought a couple "U" bolts and can now attach it to the rear ladder at any height.
2) Have the short tripod for the old dish antenna/LNB set up and a taller tripod if I need more height away from the RV that I attached a 2 ft. section of straighe 1 1/4" EMT electrical conduit.
Use the Dish for my RV app to find the holes in the trees and am watching tv in short order.
