flagstaff

are flagstaff 5th wheels well made.
  • I'm sure this will offend some, but they are on the upper end of the lower quality trailers. Unless they are extremely well cared for, I would expect 7 or 8 years out of one before you start to really see how well they are made.
  • Insulation Factors R-7 Side Wall, R-12 Floor and R-14 Roof from their brochure. It has some of the same foot prints as the Rockwood Signature Ultra lights. The brochure just says Surface Coated Steel I-Beam Frame, no dimensions. Frame and insulation is very high on the list of good 5vers.
  • Compared to some I have seen..yes, good quality.
Compared to other high end rigs...not so much.
Mine is a ultralight fiver so not as much insulation in the sides or the roof.
It sounds like ping pong balls hitting the roof when it rains. :)
    SWMBO likes the sound.

I don't think my rig would hold up well to full-timing.
Would I buy another one? Maybe.

  • Going to the Forest River Flagstaff home page. They look like a decent Fifth Wheel trailer good enough, to use for weekend camping or on Vaction with in the spring, summer and fall.
Is that what you are looking to do?
Being it is a light weight Fifth Wheel. They are Constructed with less materials, so your insulation will not be up to cold weather use IMHO.
    Hope this helps, good Luck.
