Flushing with Hot Water

We ran into an interesting problem with our 2012 Montana, somehow they managed to hook our toilet up to the hot water line. While it may help sanitize the toilet (LOL) apparently according to our tech it may have contributed to an early failure of the shutoff valve, so now we have to shut off the water because the toilet continues to fill. I have contacted Keystone stating that all though our trailer is out of warrantee this is obviously a factory defect, I'll let you know what they decide.

  • Heard back from Keystone they told me to submit the cost for the repair and they would consider it, which is all I was expecting. Will let you know what the final result is when I hear from Keystone.
  • I had no problem getting warranty work done in '05 at a Keystone dealer that did not sell it to me. Just had to educate the tech. on how 50amp works.
  • I'll bet if you trace out the supplie line to where it tees of the hot water line, the cold is right there beside it. Cap off the hot, and put a new tee in the cold.
  • Personally I'd probably just fix it myself. probably easier than trying to get it warrantied, line up service time etc.
  • Good luck with Keystone. When we had our Everest, we did not have good luck with Keystone customer service.
  • Good luck! Guess we'll find out how well they stand behind their product.
