- jerem0621Explorer IIIt really depends on the fifth wheel. If you are talking a Scamp fiver or an older low profile fiver from the 80’s. Sure. Use a PullRite or a Sidewinder.
Newer Half Ton towable fivers are really 3/4 Ton towable.

It's not about being able to TOW the fifth wheel . . .
It is about being able to CARRY the pin weight in the bed . . . - goducks10ExplorerGrand Design makes a 1/2 ton towable 5th wheel that comes with an articulating pin box. However since most all 1/2 tons don't have the payload capacity to carry the loaded pin weight it's really tough to to tow a 5th wheel with a 1/2 ton and be under all weight ratings.
- MFLNomad IIPossible???...maybe, but a better choice would be a sidewinder type pinbox. I'm sure you know, just asking the question, that truck is not the best tool for the job.
