I had the same truck (short bed), in XLT trim and my payload was 3200 something. If yours is a Lariate, and/or long box, it will be a little less, so pin weight wise, you’re right there. The truck itself, and transmission will handle it, the engine will be working hard and at high rpm’s, which will not hurt it btw. So if you stick to flat terrain, you’ll be fine.
