One thing to consider is how long do you keep your trucks? The 2014 will be worth about $45K as soon as you drive it off the lot. If you keep your trucks forever get the best deal you can. Some 2014 models have about $8K in rebates and hold backs to move them.
If it will be used for towing 90% of the time the trans improvements may be worth the $$$.
I agree with others: Get the extended warranty with either if you go many miles. All the new diesels suck for long term reliability.
