I think you need to go to a RAM dealer and check one out. The frames/suspension and Aisin commercial grade trans that is superior to the Allison are just a few huge improvements with the new RAM's.
Now Ford still has the same cab since 1999 and the same frame/suspension with a few tweaks but they just keep bumping their numbers. Because they can and no one questions it.
Seriously get the facts and test drive a new RAM.
Huuuummm... Do you want an archaic Engine (i.e Cummins engine) or a archaic Frame (i.e. Ford frame)?
BTW...If Ford suspensions have been only tweaked why did RAM copy Fords front 3 link suspension. I guess that was a step backwards for RAM! :W
