we are looking at buying a used silverback 5th wheel from forest river and want to know if there are any reasons why we shouldn't buy that brand

A good PDI list is a must. Take your time, don't let the person demonstrating the unit rush you and take lots of notes. Take a good look at everything from the roof to the ****y tires. Your first year with your new RV may require some snd sometimes lots of repairs. The first year is usually the worst for repairs on a new unit.
