Formaldehyde in Carriage Cameos?

We are considering a 2009 Cameo. Does anyone know for certain if they were using materials with formaldehyde at the time? And, if they were, when and if they ever stopped using them?

Thanks for your help in advance!

    Exactly.
  • I researched and found this earlier. They must have used it at some point, because I found this post:

And, according to the CPSC.gov (consumer product safety commission), PLYWOOD does contain formaldehyde.

What are the Major Sources of Indoor Formaldehyde Emissions in Our Homes Today?

Pressed-wood and wood-based products: Pressed-wood (i.e., hardwood plywood, particleboard, and medium-density fiberboard (MDF)) and wood-based products, especially those containing UF resins, may be a significant formaldehyde source.

I called Carriage when I purchased my Cameo and told them I was concerned about Formaldehyde. They assured me that Carriage products do not have any Formaldehyde in their Fifth Wheels.......

Carriage RV has always use plywood and solid wood and never particle board, aspenite, or pressed wood like some of the other manufactures are using. They used NO formaldehydes (CH2O)in their RV's.
