Fresh water tanks....Can they be Black in Color?

My new to me Toyhauler (see sig) has four plastic tanks as follows: 1 - Black tank (40gal) 1 - Gray tank (35 gal) 2 - Fresh water tanks that are connected by a flexible piece of hose. These tank...

All 4 of my tanks are black and the two fresh water are joined by a hose as you describe. Also the two fresh water tanks have big drain valves on the bottom side, one on each. The Black and Grey tanks both drain to the common outlet pipe.
