- I went from the "01" F-350 to the "05" to the "09" to my "15"...
The difference from the 05 to my 15 was HUGE ! ! This has been ( for me) a great truck to date.. It is a MULE ! ! ! NO COMPARISON - Cummins12V98Explorer III"According to your other thread, you already bought the truck. So how about you tell us what difference you see between the 2. Otherwise, I don't understand the point of this thread."

Super Duty Lariat. I don't remember seeing an exhaust brake on mine.
Yours and all the new diesels in LDTs HD trucks use a turbo brake which is built in the turbo with variable vanes or a sliding nozzle that restricts exhaust flow.
Doing a google has lots of diagrams/pictures on how Ford/Ram and GM diesel turbo brakes work. - WTP-GCExplorer

According to your other thread, you already bought the truck. So how about you tell us what difference you see between the 2. Otherwise, I don't understand the point of this thread. - ACZLExplorerI thought my '03 F250 6.Uh-Oh pulled good with both the FICM juiced some and Banks Monster exhaust until I got a '15 350 6.7. OP---you'll love the upgrade!!!!!
- stickdogExplorerI went from an 09 350DRW 6.4 3:73 to a 17 6.7 4:10 DRW there is so much more power with the 6.7 you won't know that 5er is behind you. The tow haul feature and 6 speed trans will make your driving experience a pleasure.
- goducks10ExplorerWhy not jump up to a 17?
- BB_TXNomadI went from a 2007 F350 6,0 to a 2012 F350 6.7. The 2007 pulled pretty darn good. The 2012 pulls great. And I think the 2016 has even more power.

Be prepared to be impressed... I've come from a '05 to a '12.- theoldwizard1Explorer IIOne big difference will be the 6R140 transmission. It seems to be a very robust unit and capable of more torque than the 5R110.
