Front cap replacement

Having front cap replaced on 2015 Wildcat Maxx 262RGX due to fading under warranty, FR won't pay to have painted, worried about leaking, fit, etc., anyone have this done and any problems?
  • Forest River/Wildcat just had our front cap re-painted on our 2015 327CK. While it was out of warranty, I was quite persistent that Forest River would not want a new RV running up and down the road with their name all over it that looked as bad as mine. It looks great now. I would not even consider a replacement cap, only paint.

I wanted mine painted too, wanted white ... are you concerned about leaks or fit? I asked service advisor about warranty after replacement and was told 1 year. I think a paint job would last longer, I have contacted Forest River about this ... waiting for reply

I am getting a 5 year warranty on my front cap.

  • Mine is in the shop right now getting the cap replaced under warranty Primetime aka FR didn't want it painted, which is what I wanted because I wanted to change the color to a lighter one
  • Wow... dealer wanted to replace our front cap due to fading but Keystone would not pay for a new cap opting for a new paint job under warranty.
Bottom line both dealer and Keystone were very good to deal with and the 5th wheel cap looks great. We are very happy! GPG
