Front end swing

I figure it's only 1.5' longer, I'm more worried about the "hips" than the swing, but the DW doesn't want to see the front of an $83k truck of in the rhubarb getting all scratched up.

The wheelbase of your new TV is probably longer than the old one. That will make more difference than the pin setting. I don't think it makes that much difference. You'll get used to it.

Never seen a sign at the entrance to a CG that said short box trucks only! Chris

Nope, your trailer will be close to the same distance from the END of your truck no matter which box you have. If the hitch were mounted further into the truck bed you wouldn't be able to turn without coming into contact with the "belly" of your fifth wheel and the bummer of your truck. What is going to be different is your turning radius as stated earlier.

Do yourself a favor and go test drive a new CC long box just to get a feel for the difference in the steering, Go to a parking lot and try parking the new truck in a parking stall then you'll really understand what we're talking about.

There will be spots you're NOT going to get into, maybe with a little "giggling". It's not really all that bad. After a few trips with the longer truck you'll be a pro at deciding what you can get into and what to pass up.

Never had anything but the CC longbox DRW here. You either learn & get used to it or spend your life looking for pull throughs.

Having a DW who is a good spotter with radio in hand or simple hand signals helps tremendously.

That's an interesting concept I will be interested in the answers. My first guess is your swing will be longer. But when you stop and think about it sure gets me confused.

The straighter the better. Some places you just may not fit.
