RVs at any price point and age are a roll of the dice. OP, keep in mind you are far more likely to read about problems than great experiences. People rarely post happy stories on message boards or review sites.
Some needs to explain to me how buying slightly used gets you out from under problems??? What do you think happens to the lemons that nobody can get right? Sold when slightly used and with no warranty in most cases. The financial side of things can be argued (but IMO the whole depreciation hit is way overblown due to folks just paying too much new) but as for problems I think with used you are just as likely to inherit someone else's. At least when buying new it's a fair roll of the dice.
