Fuel cost to drive to Florida.

I'm looking for some feedback on what your fuel costs were to drive from southern Ontario (or even the Buffalo area) to the Tampa area of Florida.

Yes, I realize there are plenty of variables here. Tow vehicle, trailer size, mileage your vehicle gets, price of gas. But I am going crazy with litres, gals, US gals, KMS and miles. So if I could get a couple of ballpark figures ($500 -$800 $1000) just to give me somewhere to start.

I have a 3/4ton HD GMC 8cyl. pulling a 27 foot Cougar 5er. If someone has something similar that would help too.

Thanks.

  • It's 1250 miles. When we had the same truck pulling the same size fiver, it would have used about 125 US gallons for 1250 miles. The average cost around the US right now seems to be $2.30-2.50/gallon. Say $2.50. 125 x 2.50 = $312.50. Figure $300 to $350 for your expense.

    Close enough.
