Fuel pump......

Im thinking my pump needs the gears replaced and am wondering where I can purchase them and if there is a upgraded set that wont need to be replaced in the future? We have a trip planned in 4 weeks and I'll need the fuel station operational, Thanks!
  • PBL and Graco are one in the same but suffer similiar problems, including others. Here's a link to posts on similiar issues and related fixes I've had. Click here.
  • I run my pump back into the fill at least once a month since I had to replace mine. They swell when dried out. The trailer I have had sat for 4 yrs prior to me buying it. I'm surprised that was the only thing that needed replaced.

Chances are it is a GPI pump (Great Plains Industries) model RV8. If so, a fast search online will get you a phone number to call and they will send you a set of updated gears no charge. Takes less than a week after you call.

Is your blowing fuses or just not pumping?
It just isnt pumping, went out on the last day of our last trip. Going to double check the fuse, but im betting that the gears are in need of replacing regardless. When I get home I'll check the brand. Thanks again!
