- Mr__SandmanExplorerThat's all it needed, a 20 amp fuse got it running again but I need to puts some gas in the tank now to see if it'll last.
- EyetattooExplorerMy pump has a 20amp fuse, most likely will fix your issue......
- Mr__SandmanExplorerI finally remounted my pump after rebuilding it "click here for previous thread"and of course it blew the fuse and didn't work. On the bench with no in-line fuse it ran fine, however, once mounted I only had a 10 amp fuse and didn't think at the time to try a heavier one. I know the gears aren't swollen because the pump hasn't had any fuel in it for months and it ran on the bench. I'll be working on it this weekend and will know more soon.
- mowdocExplorerI'm not sure about Graco pumps but Keystone uses GPI-RV8 pumps with 15 amp fuses. I would think a 15 will work for you.
The GPI pumps have plastic gears that swell when exposed to alcohol laced gasoline. Replacing these gears will fix 99% of pumps blowing fuses. GPI will even mail you a new style gear set made with better plastic for free if you call them.
All you could do to prevent swelled gears is install the updated gears when you buy your RV. As far as I know, GPI still builds new pumps with old gears?? Yep, that does not make any sense. Oh yes, you could avoid any gasoline with alcohol. Maybe this is possible in Texas but most of us are forced to buy gasohol. - arhayesExplorer

Sorry to jump in, but how do you keep that from happening? We're looking to buy a TH this year so it caught my interest. - smknf250Explorer20 amp. But if it's blowing fuses it likely is because the internal gears are swelled from sitting in fuel
