Its the GVWR and the axle ratings you need to be worried about. This 16300 is a meaningless number for marketing, its based on assumptions that don't match real life.
I didn't look up your GVWR but lets guess high and say at most its around 11,000 lbs, with your 3000 pin weight, that means your truck with its heavy diesel engine, you and all your passengers, your hitch, your trucks full fuel tank, any options not in the base truck, and whatever else you carry in the truck while towing, can't be over 8,000 lbs., been to a scale lately?
