I didn't look up your GVWR but lets guess high and say at most its around 11,000 lbs, with your 3000 pin weight, that means your truck with its heavy diesel engine, you and all your passengers, your hitch, your trucks full fuel tank, any options not in the base truck, and whatever else you carry in the truck while towing, can't be over 8,000 lbs., been to a scale lately?

GAWR RR would be around 6200 around the same as my 2013 Duramax CC.I have never weight it empty but with a Harley in the garage and 110 gallons of water. fuel and ready to go for two weeks. 6240, 40 lbs past GAWR RR with less water it drope to 6160 lbs. 21500 GVW and had 2500 left to go on the GVW, It pulled nice with no trouble except 1 bulging rear tire that bounced truck I was lucky and replaced all four tires when we got home.
