I just checked the manufacturer's sticker on the truck and it says the GVWRi is10000 lbs. So, with a hitch weight of 3000 lbs, the truck would have to weigh in the 6000 lb range (which isn't happening) to be able to meet Ford's specs, correct?
As I understand it, it is about axle rating, so beefing up the suspension wouldn't do any good, right?
I really like the Fusion, but am not in a position to change trucks. I may just have to keep the travel trailer that I have or go with a conventional Fifth Wheel. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
By the way, every salesperson that I talked to said that my truck could pull any trailer on their lot. Doesn't appear to be true.
