Yes really. He isnt hauling much. The brakes on the trailer will stop the trailer. He will be "close" to his Gross. Maybe a tad over or a tad under. He wont be ridiculously out of his payload. I can see.if he is hauling atv's or a SxS. But he is almost empty going down the road under is already gross.
Now, unless his truck is 10 years old, then maybe question the numbers.
Your out to lunch...3k lb pin dry is way to much especially for a F250 IMO. The newer trucks squat almost like a 1/2 ton. To each their own. And loading a SXS would actually take some pin weight off not add. No toys in the back is worst case for pin weight.
Would love to see a pic of everything hooked up. Guarantee truck will be running nose high Cali-lean and people would be saying look I told you so...
