FYI Repairs

DW and I just spent three and half months in Fl in our fifth wheel. During that time I made the following repairs: super glued a strip of the counter, replaced ceiling light, repaired dinning table leg that broke in transit, replaced four draw latches (all plastic that broke with normal use) and one light bub on the side. The good news is we did not have to pay for repairs. Every thing in now working Now the question are we the only one that had this many repairs? Our fifth wheel in a 2006 model.

  • Think of how much work you'd have made at your stick built --- shoveling snow or mowing a lawn...... :) :) We think repairs are minor.
  • Just like your home, car, Boats...Human Body. you have to pay to keep it running

    RV are no different.
  • Sounds pretty normal. We had ours out the last three days, it's an 05 and one of the cranks for a jealousy window stripped the plastic so off to the RV part counter this week.
  • Nope not just you. I had a 2007 Quantum by Fleetwood. It took continual repairs. Traded it in for a 2011 Cameo and the repairs are just a few. RVs do need repairs.
  • No, you're not the only ones that had that many repairs. :(

It's part of RVing. They bounce and shake while going down the road.

    Enjoy your travels.
  • Repairs and maintenance are an integral part of the RV world.

Sometimes unpleasant or costly, but will worth it to enjoy the benefits.
  • All RV's require some repairs during ownership. It is good you can do them yourself rather than pay to have them done.
