the shade to look down on somebody's red sewer hose. REALLY? Does it have to be red? What about camo instead? Ugghhh!
No - some are bright blue.
I assume the intend is to make the hose stand out so someone walking between two rigs sees the hose and doesn't trip on it - and worse pull it off the sewer connection of the trailer.
Since you're new - I'll go over some basic practices.
In campgrounds - it is acceptable to leave the sewer hose connected and leave the grey tank valve open. So the shower and sink water doesn't fill the tanks.
Do not leave the black tank valve open. Most campgrounds specifically prohibit that - but more importantly, you need water in the black tank to help liquefy the wastes (poop & tp) and to let your chemicals work.
The day before leaving - most of us will close the grey tanks valve(s) and be sure to take a long shower.
That way after dumping the black tank - we have plenty of water in the grey tank to flush out the sewer hose.
There are some locations - the Grand Canyon is one - where you should not leave your sewer hose connected to your trailer unless you are actually dumping.
Birds in the area have figured out there might be tasty bits of food in the hose and like to peck holes in the sewer lines.
