My 5th wheel is a little lighter at about 10,800 lbs ready to camp and I'm pulling with a Chevy 2500HD 6.0 and it pulls fine! Of course diesel will get to the top of the hill faster, but if you don't care about bragging rights the gas engine will get you there. It's designed to work, don't be afraid to exercise it once in a while!
