Gas or electric
When in an rv "resort", do you tend to use electric or gas for your water heater and why?

I leave both on for the quicker recovery time. When not in use it seems the gas never kicks on so I assume the electric is doing the job keeping it up to temp. I've often wondered if it operates that way by design.
