I have a 38ft 5th wired for 50 amp service with one 15,000btu A/C unit. When the Onan we had installed died after 10 years we decided to go with 2 Honda 2000i with the parallel kit.
They will run the A/C and most other stuff at the same time including the microwave for nearly 8 hours on the two tanks of fuel.
The advantage to having two is they are easier to handle. You can use just one if you don't plan on using the A/C. They are quiet when compared to a 4000 to 6500W generator.
I've used these hondas at home when the power went out, at a remote cabin to do some construction work and on a job site to run an electric jack hammer.
Much more flexibility vs. a mounted generator.
You do have to be careful about theft....I use a one inch cable lock designed for motorcycles and a logging chain with a heavy duty pad lock to secure them to my 5th wheel frame. At night when we are done with them I lock them in the cab of the truck.
