johndeerefarmer; YES there aqre those of us that comment about these racks, BECAUSE WE'VE SEEN the results of them failing while traveling down the road. I DIDN"T SAY YOURS WOULD FAIL, just to kkep an eye on it because yes the static load is less then 300lbs, but the inertia force could be well over that. I've seen the **** hit the road from these racks failing.
