Looks like a nice, well built rack.
As for the negative comments, you will always get a few people on forums that feel the need to be critical on just about any topic. Most of them consider themselves gurus on the subject and it makes them feel important to be the "expert" when they give all the reasons why something can't work or is dangerous. These guys are easy to spot.
