But consider, if your power is going out frequently now, it will go out frequently to your new house too, right? So why not consider a full house generator now. Use it to power your RV now, and switch it to power your home when it is complete. Probably a discussion to have with your general contractor, not an RV supplier.
We did the whole house generator due to the fact that we have had power outages that have lasted a day or two. When I bought a generator for the RV, I sized to to run the small freezer we have, the fridge and boiler if needed. We have now had a Generac 22KW installed and have had it run for poor outages several times.
