You might have a problem in June/July, with the heat of the season, but I doubt that you'll have a problem in September, up in PA.
We drove up to PA with a show plow on the front of my BILs truck, and he had a problem, but that's a whole lot larger than your genset.
Keep an eye on your temperatures....but I really feel that you should have no problems.
I've run with bikes on the front, but they don't have the air flow issues.
