Getting started
My wife and I will be new to RVing. We pulled a popup to Idaho 20 years ago but not like the unit we have our eye on now. We are looking at a 34’ KZ MXT-303 Toy Hauler that has curb weight of 5,770 lbs. and a GVWR of 8,800 lbs.
The TH is a '13 F-150, SCAB, MaxTow, EcoBoost, 365 HP, 420lbs. torque.
The F-150 has:
GVW 5,650, GVWR 7,500, front GAWR 3,600, rear GAWR 4,050
Payload 2,017
GCVWR 16,900
Hitch weight rating 1,150 lbs.
Max loaded trailer weight rating 11,300
Also, will have before the TH:
Firestone Air Bags, LT e-rated tires, Propride 3P WDH, and Billstein 5100 shocks
We will be hauling a 1500 Goldwing. We will be needing the minimum amount of water so no extra weight there. I figure about 8,200 lbs. tongue weight when loaded. That would be 984 lbs at 12%.
Does this sound like a good combination to you? Am I missing anything?
