purchasing a new duramax, now we pull with a 2004 3500 dually . 2014 crusader 38ft pro,s and cons of the srw versus drw. the ride now is very good no sway would it be the same with a newer srw duramax. I do a buddy has a 13 and he says his rides great but if he had a trailer the size of mine the only thing he would do is add air bags to stop the sway going down and around corners on a hill.
If you are looking at the 2014 PRIME TIME CRUSADER 334CKT, it has a GVWR or 13,700# and a dry hitch weight around 1750#. Bump that hitch weight by another 300-400 to get a realistic LOADED pin weight.
IMHO a modern SRW 1-ton can easily handle that. Even some of the high GVWR option 3/4 tons are not out of the question unless you plan to put 6 adults in the truck. IMHO you don't "need" a dually unless you "want" one!
You need to do some "real number" math to see if it will work.
Good luck
