You might want to look at a map... you really don't want to do that, unless you really like mountains. The road's good, but can get real twisty and windy in places. Actually, parts of it are real nice and 4 lane divided. Besides, I-95 is not a good route to go, unless you don't have any other options. About that time of year, it will be loaded with snowbirds flocking south.
If you stay away from rush hours, Atlanta traffic, while scary, usually moves quite well, too well for some folks. The worst traffic is the southbound morning rush into Atlanta, the northbound evening rush out of Atlanta, and I-75 south of Atlanta down to around McDonough at just about any time of day. Hit it right and you can make it through Atlanta in about 30-40 minutes. It's taken me longer to get through Ocala on US-301.
