Aside from the answer of smaller tires. Flip the axels or have a sub-frame fully boxed to lift the trailer. Not sure why your looking to go with larger tires on your truck, but if its for off-road with the trailer make sure you have ample bed clearance when your done.

IF trailer springs are UNDER the axles then simple axle flip will gain you min 3" and would be the way to go.

IF springs are on TOP of axles then sub-frame lift is best.......no blocks between springs and axles.

why create all this work for yourself...

keep your other tire size.

Axle flip gives high of axle & springs on ouer FW =6”

Sounds like you need the axle flip even without gong up in tire size.

I am curious also. Taller tire makes gear ratio worse, worse fuel economy, but hey maybe it's all worth the $$$ to look cool???

not going up. Well not in tire size but I am in wheel size.
I found a set of Michelin LTX's with only 8k miles on them for $400!
I really just wanted to go up to 17" wheels so that I could do larger calipers and brakes on my truck. I can do a full 3rd gen swap on wheels, calipers, rotors, and brakes and have more stopping power on my 2nd gen dodge now that I'll have 17" wheels.

I figured while I was at it, I could do 285 tires but honestly I really like how my set up is. I really think it's ideal gearing, tuning, & tire size now. I am making about 350hp on my 6 speed cummins and it pulls nicely. Don't want to screw with it or the camper.
