I went from GY G's to GY H 17.5" tires on our MS. Never had a problem with the G tires two sets of 5 years each.
If I were in the G market right now I would not hesitate and go for the GY G's again!
Hey, we're in agreement to a point..I too have them and they're great, but my money tree is drying up....they're TOO expensive, and if I opted to go to the 17" wheel and the GY "F" rated tire, I would be putting out even more money....all kidding aside about buying trucks, these tires aren't cheap...I never hesitated to buy them because they had zip, zero, nada competition with tires in the "G" rated tire worth looking at as far as "I" was concerned, NOW, along comes 1, (ONE), tire that has the quality backing to show they're worth looking at, AND, THEY'RE AFFORDABLE!!! SHAZAMM, as Gomer Pyle would say... FINALLY, a G tire with quality and affordable.
Sometimes we got to be able to look at the big picture..I now see TWO G rate tires in the entire market worth looking at to put on my 5er.JUST TWO..FINALLY, after all these years, there is a alternative to a GY G614 worth looking at, AND....it's AFFORDABLE....
I still figure I got 2 yrs. left on my tires, (I'll be 65 then), At that time, I will see how the Sailun tires have fared, AND see if they keep their price down..."IF" they have proven out, (it'll be 3-4 yrs by then they will have been reported on this forum), then I very well may buy them....quality and affordability....hard to get in today's world.......
