Goodyear Marathon tires
I just purchased a montana 285rld two months ago, and am still on the road. I have heard from other 5th wheel owners, that the Goodyear monarch are junk. Anyone else have proble, s with these tires?...

Go on the Montana's Owners Club MOC forum and join. Then do a search for Marathon tires. Most Montana's are just too heavy for Marathons, and no, I don't care what they put on the sidewalls as their gross weight rating. Change those tires to LT tires if you have 6000 lb axles or Goodyear 614 if you got 7000 lb ones. I drove my Montana straight home and then to Discount Tire the next day for some BF Goodrich tires. It's not so much the Marathons as it is all ST tires. Once you get a up to 10k plus lbs then you need something other then an ST tire.....Some here will balk at that but if you do a search you will find many photos of what can happen to the side of your trailer when one blows.....Oh yeah if you just tow to the lake and back a couple of weekends a year they may be fine but if you're like mine and go out and do 5-600 miles a day at 65-70 mph then I would not trust an ST tire......
