Thanks for reinforcing my earlier point. I think that's the common experience. Dealers aren't going to educate you about tires, so we learn from sites like this. Vast majority of trailer owners don't frequent sites like this, so don't become educated about the issue. . Trailer comes with st tires, that's what they'll replace them with. Maxxis are special order in my area, and many others. Uneducated tt owner won't order them, and the tire dealer puts on what he has in stock, or can get easily; GY or Carlisle. So who has the bigger market share? What is the true failure rate of any brand? I know forums are filled with folks complaining about this or that brand, but we're just a microcosm of people who own and use rv's. A bunch of people who live and breathe the lifestyle more than the average guy.
