Goose Neck Hitch
Looking @ purchasing a 5th wheel trailer, at this time. Would like to install a gooseneck hitch. Due to the experince out there, what are the pros and cons of this set up? Would like to do this myself...

The dealer is using the fifth wheel hitch (Husky) it just sits on the truck bed with two rails (the adapter looks like an "H"). The center of the "H" has an adapter that connects to the gooseneck ball. The fifth wheel pin sits on the Husky fifth wheel as it always has. I don't think any warranty is left on a 2011. I am not an engineer but it seems to me the fifth wheel "stress" will not change. I have seen other adapters that do not use the old fifth wheel hitch at all. I understand the need for a call to Montana but think the answer will always be a we will not guarantee anything we didn't make. I appreciate your comments since the adapter has not been installed. Anyone out there that has used this adapter????
