Goose Neck Hitch
Looking @ purchasing a 5th wheel trailer, at this time. Would like to install a gooseneck hitch. Due to the experince out there, what are the pros and cons of this set up? Would like to do this myself...

height kept me from using a goose neck adapter on my flatbed. the goose neck adapters I looked at where 12-13 inches.also the recess box for the goose neck ball was to small to use a B&W adapter. So I took a Reese hitch shortened the uprights made my own rails welded nuts under the flatbed on the cross beams. Bolt it on when I need it. still have goose neck ball under it. Dealer tried to sell me a goose neck adapter when I bought my fifth wheel. Asked them about warranty. they said it would void frame warranty. 2013 Montana Mountaineer.
